Dr. Ifejola Olorunfemi, also known as Dr. Ife (pronounced E-fay), has provided direct care to patients for over 25 years. She began her transition into the health care field as a Physician Assistant and worked in this specialization for eight years. In the search for a field that would give her professional advancement and the ability to practice to the full extent of her training, she transitioned into the field of nursing.

Getting her start as a registered nurse from the City University of New York (CUNY), she obtained her MSN as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University NY. She also holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Huntsville.

As an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Ife noticed that individuals with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders were misrepresented and underserved. Hence, a passion to contribute to the mental health provider shortages and advocate for mental health services for vulnerable populations developed. This passion led her to pursue a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification at George Washington University.

Dr. Ife has clinical experience with patients across the life span, treating an array of psychiatric disorders. She also has specific experience in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

With a goal of improving mental health outcomes for her patients, she strives to hear the small wins that patients report in treatment. In her spare time, she loves to read and hang out with her two sons. She is also an avid sports lover and loves traveling.
