Janae, a native Californian, is a licensed social worker with professional experience as an advocate for progressive jail diversion efforts. Her clinical experience includes treating trauma, depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance abuse, and behavioral issues in individual and group therapy. She also has experience in crisis stablization and brief clinical intervention in patients of all ages.

With a decade of case management and clinical experience, Janae enjoys helping patients who struggle with chronic housing instability, interactions with the legal system, and engagement with the child welfare system across several states, including California, Oregon, Georgia, and Maryland. She is passionate about holistic trauma-informed treatment and harm reduction. Janae believes that each individuals needs to define their own meaning of "success" and "happiness."

In her free time, Janae loves to travel, catch a concert with friends, and spend lots of time with her best friend and dog, Apollo.
