Nathan Shin
Counseling (MS) Intern
Nathan Shin is a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in clinical professional counseling at Loyola University. Before enrolling in his graduate program, he graduated from University of Maryland, College Park and received a bachelors degree in psychology.
Nathan has experience providing crisis intervention to individuals dealing with suicidal ideation, domestic violence, and depression at a local community center. As Nathan appreciates person-centered approach, he believes a strong therapeutic relationship is critical in successful therapy, and he values collaborative work with patients.
Nathan plans to become a licensed counselor and work with various populations including children and young adults after graduating from Loyola University Maryland. His clinical interests include suicidal ideation and mood disorders.
In his leisure time, he enjoys playing tennis, walking on park trails, and listening to jazz and K-pop.
