Donica Harper, MA

Ms. Donica Harper holds a masters degree in psychology with a specialization in military culture and families from Adler University and a graduate certificate in Professional Counseling Studies from the University of Baltimore. Prior to her masters degree, Ms. Harper earned two bachelors degrees in psychology and biology from Winston-Salem State University. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in clinical psychology at Fielding Graduate University. 

Ms. Harper is currently the Director of Clinical Training for iHEAL's masters-level clinicians. She works to embody iHEAL's supervision philosophy by tailoring the training program to fit the needs of each student intern. Ms. Harper believes that it is vital to provide student interns with practical approach to clinical practice where they can be supported in creating a clinical and professional identity. As the leader of the training program, she also initiates and cultivates partnerships with universities and career centers throughout the region. 


As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), she has experience working with all ages and treatment modalities (e.g., individual, family, and couples therapy). Her clinical interests include trauma/grief counseling, PTSD, racial disparities and conflict, sexual identity, couples counseling, and attachment issues. She specifically enjoys working first responders, military personnel, and members of the LBGTQIA+ community.

Ms. Harper is an active member in Psi Chi (International Honor Society in psychology), Association of Black Psychologists, American Psychological Association, and the American Counseling Association.
