Masters-level Clinical Training

The masters-level training program provides students who are pursuing graduate degrees in counseling and psychology with clinical training that helps connect the dots between academic instruction and the real world of mental health.

Student interns get exposure to many clinical experiences including:

  • individual, group, and family therapy

  • treatment and discharge planning

  • case conceptualizations

  • community workshops

We provide formative and summative feedback to our student interns and provide one hour of individual supervision per week and two hours of group supervision per month.  It should be noted that students get access to the clinical experiences above based on their clinical development.

Doctoral-level Clinical Training

This training program provides counseling and clinical psychology doctoral students with intense clinical experiences that will prepare them to function in many different specializations within the psychology field.

The doctoral training program has three rotations:

  • research

  • clinical

  • testing

The clinical rotation trains student interns to provide direct therapy services for individuals, families, and groups, while the testing rotation offers students training in psychoeducational testing and psychological evaluations. The research rotation gives student interns the opportunity to conduct research in our wellness programs and submit manuscripts for publication. All rotations are supervised by clinical psychologists.

Student interns also get the opportunity to train in specialized rotations when supervision is available. For example, students may get training in clinical supervision (i.e., supervising a masters-level intern) or psychology administration (i.e., running a mental health program).

We provide formative and summative feedback to our student interns and provide one hour of individual supervision per week and two hours of group supervision per month.  It should be noted that students get access to the clinical experiences above based on their clinical development.
