Antione Taylor, PhD
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Antione D. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in Psychology before earning his Doctor of Philosophy in Human Services Psychology from UMBC in 2019. His research interests pertain to the sociodemographic disparities in systemic and brain health outcomes among minorities, with his work primarily focuses on the African American community.
He has experience providing neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments for adults, as well as experience providing therapy for adults centered on coping with acute or chronic illnesses. He utilizes a biopsychosocial perspective grounded in an evidence-based, eclectic approach that combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT),and motivational interviewing (MI), mixed organically with person-centered techniques (e.g., warmth, genuineness, empathy). At iHEAL, he conducts psychoeducational assessments for children and adults.
Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Psychosomatic Society, Society of Behavioral Medicine, the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
